Industry and nature collide everyday. How we see it is personal and how it impacts us can be powerful. The lines are crisp yet painful. Welcome the Totemic Fusion.

I find it odd to live in such a (at times) wild place. Sure, there’s a Wally World down the street but in the opposite direction there’s a wild wilderness full of adventure. The gist of it is simple, never forget where you are – who knows what you’ll run into.

The story behind this image – I was out for a run near the foothills, about 4 miles from Red Rocks. The trail is cut along a hogback that separates a park from a small road. It was an experience in exploration. Anyway, I wasn’t paying attention and ran right into this giant power tower. Yup, right into it. No damage was done, it was fun, stupid and as a result I went back to shoot some photos.

I like the lines, contrast and majesty.
